At a meeting og the church board, the minister announced he had a "call" to go to another parish.
After wishing him well in his new field, one of the deacons asked how much salary he got.
"Three Hundred Dollars" the pastor said.
"That's fine," said the deacon, "I don't blame you for going. But, Parson, don't you think you ought to be a bit more exact in your language? That isn't a 'call', that's a 'raise'!"
